Message I used a Stinger S800 battery. It works very nice due to the overall lower height. This allows me to mount the fuses on the top of the battery. The clamp I used some "u" channel aluminum flashing extrusion and some steel square tubing purchased from ACE Hardware. I simply cut both tubes to length, polishing the aluminum piece for good looks while at the same time using the steel peice on the inside for strength. I still used the factory battery clamps but I added some Nylon spacers to get the clamps to tighten down properly. The cover is a simple peice of Lexan 1/4" cut to shape and hand bent (using a heat gun). To get it to bend clamp it between (2) 2x4's to make the bend straight and the radius correct. To make it look good I used some spray paint on the back side to have a glossy look to it. Please only use paint from model or hobby shops used for lexan bodies. That paint has the correct chemistry to bond to the plastic. Hand polished edges of the platic and thats it. The fusing I used one for the factory stuff and a second for the stereo stuff. If I have to make any splices I would put them in the fender well to hide them.
